Tiramisu for everyone? Yes, but for children, strictly without coffee! Today we propose a tasty alternative, with a delicious couscous cream, the Couscous Tiramisù.
The recipe is by our Sara Bonaccorsi, foodblogger at Blog Giallo Zafferano!
For the cous cous:
- 100 ml milk
- 100 gr Couscous for kids Martino
- 1 tablespoon of caster sugar
For the topping:
- 50 ml milk
- Sweetened cocoa to taste
For the filling:
- 70 g cream cheese
- 50 g whipped cream plus enough for the surface
- Smarties to taste
- Dry biscuits to taste
- Sweetened cocoa to taste.
Start by rehydrating the couscous; bring the milk and sugar to a boil in a large, low pan. Add the couscous. Remove from the heat, cover with a lid and let sit for 5 minutes. Mash well with a fork and allow to cool completely.
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with a spoon, add the whipped cream and stir gently so that the cream does not melt. Finally add the couscous.
Pour the warm milk and the sweetened cocoa into a bowl. Wet the dry biscuits with milk and cocoa and place them on the bottom of a small baking dish. Fill with the couscous cream, then cover with another layer of dry biscuits soaked in milk and cocoa.
Cover the surface with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa.
With the smarties make a smiley face on the surface of the couscous tiramisu.
And happy couscous to all!
