Today we offer you an “empty fridge” recipe. A little originality is all it takes to transform leftover ingredients into a surprising dish with the addition of our versatile and tasty couscous. Here are the ham rolls with pea couscous!

The recipe is by Francesca Lucisano, foodblogger at Giallo Zafferano.

Ingredients

  • 200 g of pea couscous;
  • 8 slices of cooked ham;
  • 300 ml lukewarm water;
  • 200 g of spreadable cheese;
  • Salt to taste

Preparazione

Pour the pea couscous into a bowl and rehydrate it with water. Let everything stand for 10 minutes, then fluff up the couscous with a fork.

Season with salt, add the spreadable cheese and mix well until the mixture is smooth.

Take the slices of cooked ham, place them on a chopping board and stuff them with the pea and cheese couscous. Roll them up and continue in this way until all the ingredients have been used up.

Serve the ham rolls with pea cous cous at the table.
